How do insurance providers deal with claims?

There is a common trend which most of the insurance companies follow. They are undoubtedly very prompt when it comes to finding out a new customer but take much time to reconcile the case when claims are made by the policy holders.

Customers often get frustrated and seek for legal advice to make the reimbursement procedure faster. However, every state government has some stipulated regulations for the insurance companies to follow.

Insurance companies are by law, bound to accept any insurance claim within a particular period of time and are advised to do an inquiry on the authenticity of that particular claim. Without any legitimate proof they cannot deny a claim.

In case, the actions taken by insurance company are not satisfactory then the insurer can log report to the state’s insurance regulation department.

It is always recommended that one has to be fast in informing his insurer about the damages and documents related to claims should be kept safe as a proof for future.
